Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2025

This policy governs the cancellation and refund procedures for all courses, certifications, and programs offered by the Accounting, Legal, & Finance Institute (ALFI). By enrolling in an ALFI program, you agree to the terms outlined below.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [Your Dedicated ALFI Email Address] and must include the Course Title and Enrollment Date.

The refund amount depends on when your written notice of cancellation is received relative to the scheduled Course Start Date.

Note: For all multi-session/cohort-based courses, attendance is defined as being present for or having access to the recording of the live session. The "Course Start Date" is the date the course access is granted or the first live session is scheduled.

2. Cancellations by ALFI

ALFI reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • If ALFI cancels a course before the start date: Enrolled students will be entitled to a 100% full refund of all fees paid (including the Administrative Fee).
  • If ALFI postpones a course: Students will be offered the option to transfer their enrollment to the new date or receive a 100% full refund.

ALFI is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by the student as a result of a cancellation or rescheduling.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following fees and costs are generally non-refundable:

  • Administrative Fee ($50): Retained for all cancellations by the applicant as outlined in Section 1.A.
  • Physical Materials: Any books, supplies, or equipment that have been shipped to the student are non-refundable once shipped, unless defective upon receipt.
  • Digital Materials/eTokens: Access keys or downloadable resources for third-party tools (if applicable) are non-refundable once issued or activated.

4. Refund Processing

  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 15–30 business days from the date of the refund approval notification.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. If the original method is no longer available, a check or bank transfer will be issued.

5. Course Transfers & Substitutions

A. Transfer to a Future Course

Students may request to transfer their enrollment to a future offering of the same course one time without penalty, provided the request is made at least 7 days prior to the original Course Start Date. Requests made less than 7 days prior are subject to the cancellation policy.

B. Participant Substitution

In certain cases, a registered participant may substitute another individual for their enrollment. All substitution requests must be made in writing at least 3 business days prior to the Course Start Date
